What is the average price of a neon sign?
There are many factors that influence the price of a neon sign. Your first visit to a neon sign shop may leave you feeling sticker shock with some of the more elaborate options, but we strive to create options for every budget.
All neon signs (not just in our shop, but across the globe) are bent by hand by talented artisans. There’s no machine that takes in glass at one end and puts out a finished sign at the other end. As a result, one of the largest factors in pricing a sign has to do with the amount of labor involved in its creation. In addition to the tine bending glass, the number of finished ‘units,’ or individual sections of glass, each have to be processed and painted, and the final sign has to be assembled onto its background or installed directly at a customer’s location.
A fairly basic indoor sign (one or two words, with block letters in our standard colors) could cost $600-750, while an elaborate outdoor, double-sided sign could cost over $15,000. There are plenty of options within that range as well. Adding detail to your sign will increase the price, and counterintuitively, going smaller doesn’t make the sign cheaper, as smaller-size tubing will require more intricate glass-bending labor to create, and higher power, in the form of additional transformers, to operate.
By filling out our custom neon request form, you can start the conversation with us and get a better idea what your one-of-a-kind sign will cost. If you have a particular budget in mind, we can work to present options to fit your price point.
We want everyone to enjoy the glow of neon light in their home or office, and we’ve spent some time working up pre-made, 10” diameter accent neon pieces with a price of just $200 each. These signs feature one or two colors, and are made with a small number of bends and a smaller sized transformer. Our selection of these accent pieces are constantly rotating, so please stop in our shop to view the current options.
